IDEA Philippine’s Spiritual Policy

IDEA Philippines is established and based on Christian values. It seeks to expose the deaf children and deaf adults in its sphere of influence to these values.

In promoting Christian Values IDEA Philippines will make education materials and training available to SPED teachers and IDEA staff to better equip them teach these values. IDEA Philippines will use the Bible as the document of final authority.

IDEA Philippines will encourage interpreter training for interested persons who are willing to assist the Deaf in church settings. IDEA believes that all persons who accept that Jesus Christ is the true Son of God and that He died for their sins is a Christian.

IDEA Philippines will not force or coerce any student or adult into attending any particular church or Bible study. Instead, it will promote the philosophy that religion and faith are a person’s free choice. IDEA Philippines will defend this right.

IDEA provides service to all deaf children regardless of religion.
